Funeral services for Addie Mae Wiley, 82, of Larto, LA will be Friday, December 13, 2019 at Mayna Church of God at 2 pm. Services will be officiated by Rev. Lloyd Trisler and Rev. Kenny Smith. Interment will follow at Pease cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home-Jonesville, LA. Addie Littleton Wiley was born February 25, 1937 in Jena, LA and passed away December 10, 2019 in Alexandria, LA. She worked in the cafeteria at Central High School and later became the cafeteria manager. Miss Addie Mae had a love for cooking and she poured love into every meal that she cooked during her years at CHS. Even when the school board frowned upon not charging students for “seconds”, she said that she couldn’t stand to see a child walk away hungry. She always made sure that each child had enough to eat. Her famous yeast rolls are known far and wide and if you ask any CHS student or faculty member about their memories of Addie Mae, the yeast rolls will be at the top of the list….especially the ones she dipped in chocolate. Addie Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Wiley, Sr.; her parents, Clinton Littleton, Sr. and Clara White Littleton Alwell; five brothers, Clint Littleton, Jr., Billy Alwell, Jerry Alwell, Terry Alwell and Bradley Alwell; and two sisters, Marvyn LaPrairie and Velma Smith. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Topper Wiley and wife, Carol of Mayna, LA, Robert Wiley and wife Sherie of Enterprise, LA and daughter, Vickie Wiley and husband Troy Bourque of St. Martinville, LA; five grandchildren, Bill Wiley, Hope Mayo, Olivia Ashmore, Sarah Caviness, Carter Salisbury; Five great-grandchildren, Allison and Gemar Wiley, Jackson Mayo, Christian Ashmore, and Saige Caviness; sister, Doris Alwell of Jena, LA; sisters-in-law, Euna Nichols, Billie Rae Tradewell and Elaine Wall, and also special friend Corky Harrison. Addie Mae leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss her. Pallbearers will be Ben Wiley, Richard Tiser, Carter Salisbury, Scott Russell, Jasper Littleton, Cory Ashmore and grandson, Bill Wiley. The family would like to give a special thanks to sister–in-law, Elaine Wall and neighbors, Ben and Norma Wiley for always being there for her. We love you. The family will receive friends Friday, at the Church from 10 am until 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pease Cemetery Fund.
